第十一届平方公里阵列射电望远镜(SKA)暑期学校由科学技术部国际科技合作中心(SKA中国办公室)主办,厦门大学天文学系承办,将于2026年8月19日至8月26日在厦门举办。本届暑期学校围绕“中性氢星系与宇宙重子循环”等SKA相关前沿科学问题,面向高年级硕士/博士研究生及青年学者,系统介绍中性氢21厘米物理、HI星系探测、星系动力学与演化、星系周及星系际介质、宇宙网与失踪重子、SKA科学验证与未来巡天等科学主题,并讲解射电干涉成像、SKA数据特点、数据处理、源探测与参数推断、数值模拟及人工智能辅助科研等关键技术;同时结合典型科学案例和实操训练,提升学员利用FAST、SKA及先导/探路者设备等相关平台开展中性氢星系与宇宙重子循环研究的能力。
The 11th Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Summer School is hosted by the International Science and Technology Cooperation Center, Ministry of Science and Technology (SKA China Office), and organized by the Department of Astronomy, Xiamen University. It will be held in Xiamen from August 19 to 26, 2026. Focusing on frontier SKA-related scientific topics, including “HI Galaxies and the Cosmic Baryon Cycle,” the summer school is designed for senior master’s and doctoral students as well as early-career scholars. The program will systematically introduce HI 21-cm physics, HI galaxy detection, galaxy dynamics and evolution, the CGM/IGM, the cosmic web and missing baryons, SKA science verification, and future surveys. It will also cover key techniques including radio interferometric imaging, SKA data characteristics, data processing, source detection and parameter inference, numerical simulations, and AI-assisted research. Through typical science cases and hands-on training, the program aims to strengthen participants’ ability to conduct research on HI galaxies and the cosmic baryon cycle using FAST, SKA, and related precursor/pathfinder facilities.
本届暑期学校突出“学研贯通”和“全流程贯通”的课程特色,通过前沿讲授、专题研讨、上机实践、分组挑战赛与专家点评相结合的形式,引导学员围绕中性氢星系、星系动力学与宇宙重子循环这一科学主线,逐步完成从科学问题凝练、观测数据理解、数据处理与质量控制、物理量测量、模型分析到结果展示与科学解释的完整训练流程。课程将注重理论知识与真实数据分析场景的结合,帮助学员在掌握射电天文基础方法的同时,理解不同观测数据、分析工具和科学问题之间的内在联系。暑期学校还将结合AI辅助分析、多波段数据交叉与大规模巡天数据处理等新兴方向,鼓励学员探索人工智能工具在未来SKA及相关射电巡天研究中的应用潜力,提升面向大数据时代的科研实践能力与协作研究能力。
The summer school emphasizes the integration of learning and research as well as the complete end-to-end research workflow. Through frontier lectures, topical discussions, hands-on practice, group challenges, and expert feedback, participants will follow a scientific theme centered on HI galaxies, galaxy dynamics, and the cosmic baryon cycle. They will gradually complete a full training workflow, from formulating scientific questions, understanding observational data, data processing and quality control, physical measurements, and model analysis to result presentation and scientific interpretation. The program will connect theoretical knowledge with real data-analysis scenarios, helping participants master basic methods in radio astronomy while understanding the relationships among different observational data, analysis tools, and scientific questions. It will also introduce emerging directions such as AI-assisted analysis, multi-wavelength data integration, and large-scale survey data processing, encouraging participants to explore the potential applications of AI tools in future SKA and related radio survey research and improving their research practice and collaborative skills for the big-data era.
