About QMMI 2025

In recent years, the groundbreaking advances in artificial intelligence have fundamentally changed the landscape of material science research and technology development. Research, simulation, and control of quantum many-body systems have provided a more profound understanding of material properties. More advanced technologies and deeper understanding have paved the way for unprecedented possibilities in the field of advanced materials, including quantum materials, soft matter, metamaterials, and quantum computing. To facilitate the mutual exchange of cutting-edge research in advanced materials, quantum science, and artificial intelligence, the Advanced Materials Thrust of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), will host the Quantum Materials and Material Informatics Symposium from December 12-14, 2025. The symposium will specially invite young experts, scholars, and outstanding students from relevant research fields at home and abroad to present offline reports and poster exchanges.

The topics of discussion for this symposium include: advanced material research combined with artificial intelligence, quantum effects in materials and metamaterials, the construction and control of quantum systems, and advanced artificial intelligence algorithms and their applications.
